Here’s the bad news
This is going to sound terrible, but it’s the honest-to-God truth:
I only work with maybe 1 out of 100 companies who approach me.
Not because I’m an entitled jerk or anything, but because I’m at a stage in my career where I don’t have to do anything. The only consulting gigs I take are the ones where I genuinely like you, I think your company is doing cool stuff, and you can pay me absurdly well.
Like⦠$10,000 a day. If it’s a long-term project, I’ll probably expect a cut of the profits too.
Why?
Because I’m amazing at what I do. Everyone who works with me makes buckets of money. I’m also a genuinely good dude who cares deeply about the people I work with.
(And yes, I think that last one matters.)
In other words, I can afford to be picky. With that in mind, please don’t contact me if your company takes advantage of people, you are struggling financially, or you have a gazillion dollar idea but you don’t know how to get started.
No judgment. It’s just not my thing.
In general, I work with established companies who have a solid reputation but are struggling to get content marketing working like they want. I have to like you, and I have to like your products.
I realize that’s painfully blunt, but I just don’t want to waste anyone’s time. Yours or mine.
